Applications include:
- Precise positioning and monitoring of aircraft wing and fuselage sections during assembly
- Symmetry checking of aircraft
- Checking of wing flap adjustment
- Stress analysis such as wing movement under engine or fuel load

Incorporating iGPS technology to such processes can increase operating profitability. Value can be added to the product through increasing aircraft performance and efficiency through greater dimensional control during aircraft build. Cost of production can also be reduced by decreasing lead-times for both development and manufacture, also in reducing costs for tooling and other less effective measurement techniques.
