KUBE software for scanning and data processing
KUBE is Metris’ proprietary scanning and basic inspection and reverse engineering solution. KUBE software fits all handheld laser scanning applications and is compatible with Metris MMD (link) and MMZ (link) handheld laser scanners. Furthermore, KUBE supports the four most popular localizers available on the market: Metris MCA (link), Metris K-scan (link), Faro and Cimcore.
KUBE features algorithms that have been specifically designed for processing laser stripe data, which guarantees superior data quality and accuracy. Therefore, KUBE is recognized worldwide as one of the leading software solutions for handheld scanning applications. Kube’s latest V13 version boosts an immense library of point cloud tools that are based on Metris’ 10+ years of laser scanning experience. Kube is intuitive software that is easy to learn.
The Kube software package features three main modules as well as optional CAD importers:
KUBE Scan : Very user friendly data capture software that supports the most common scanning tasks:

KUBE Inspect+ : module for essential surface inspection functionality, typically used for on-line inspection applications with instant visualization of inspection results:

- On-line inspection, showing results as you scan
- feature measurement and dimensioning
- color plot report generation with flyouts
KUBE Inspect+ includes native CAD importers for:
- VDA
- STEP
- ProEngineer
- CATIA V4
- CATIA V5
For users who require even more advanced inspection functionality, Metris ModelMaker scan data can be collected and filtered within KUBE and then exported to Metris Focus Inspection or third party inspection software.
