Bart Van Coppenolle (°1970), President and Chief Executive Officer
He co-founded Metris and heads the company since its inception and was Chairman of the board of directors until 21 November 2006. He holds degrees in production engineering and philosophy. Before founding Metris, he was an engineering researcher at K.U. Leuven.

Philippe Vandormael (°1973), Chief Operating Officer
Philippe Vandormael has a master degree in engineering from the K.U. Leuven. Before joining Metris, he worked as an engineering researcher at the K.U. Leuven. At Metris he is COO, directing sales, operational marketing and operations.

Olivier Georis (°1968), Chief Technical Officer
Olivier Georis holds different master degrees in engineering. He started his career as product manager for the SmartPen project and afterwards he moved to Corus (previously Hoogovens Aluminum) to work as assistant industrial engineering manager and quality assurance engineer. Before joining Metris he also worked for Avery Dennison as lead project engineer. At Metris he is CTO in charge of technology, R&D and IPR. He has been an expatriate for several years, starting up the Metris’ operations in the US.

Luc Verstuyft (°1961), Chief Financial Officer
Luc Verstuyft occupied between 2002 and July 2007 the CFO position at Resilux, an international group listed on Euronext Brussels since 1997 active in the manufacturing and sales of PET preforms and bottles. At Fortis Bank, where he worked for almost 15 years, he occupied several functions of which Head of Corporate Finance. He holds a Master of Economic Sciences and a Master of Business Administration.

Koenraad Van der Elst (°1961), Executive Vice President Legal
Koenraad Van der Elst started in 1984 as a barrister at the Bar of Dendermonde.
In 1991, he joined Fortis Bank as director of 'legal documentation' in the Investment Banking department. From 2002 to 2005 he was Secretary General & General Counsel of the Punch group and member of the Executive Committee. In 2004 he also became President of the Supervisory Board of Punch Technix and served as Secretary of the Board of Punch Graphix . He also served as Secretary General and member of the Executive Committee of Koramic Investment Group. Since June 1, 2007, Koenraad serves as Executive Vice President Legal at Metris.

Lieven De Jonge, Executive Vice-President Operations
Lieven De Jonge co-founded Metris, after he was Scientific Researcher at K.U. Leuven, where he headed the research group from which Metris is a spin-off. He holds a master in mathematics from the K.U. Leuven. Over the past years he has gained valuable experience in R&D management, marketing, technology planning and assessment, people management and operations and has been responsible for technology, marketing, operations and acquisition and integration management within the Metris group. Mr. De Jonge was managing director of the Virginia site and of the UK/ROW site prior to his assignment as Managing Director of the Belgian site.

Filip Geuens (°1970), Executive Vice President Engineering
Filip Geuens has a degree of electro-mechanical engineering of the KULeuven and a Postgraduate Operations Management.
He spend his entire career in metrology: first at Krypton as application engineer, Vice President Sales Support and COO.
He joined Metris at the time of the acquisition of Krypton. He is currently responsible for the development of all product lines.

Jos Jans (°1964), Executive Vice President Marketing
Before joining Metris in April 2006, Jos spent most of his career at LMS International. After serving in pre-sales and customer services, he held several positions in product management and marketing communications. In his last function he was responsible for setting up and rolling out company wide marketing programs for the automotive industry. In addition, he worked for two years as a product manager at Fujitsu Siemens Computers.
Jos holds a masters degree in mechanical engineering from the Catholic University of Leuven, and studied business-to-business marketing at EHSAL in Brussels.

Peter Higgins, Executive VP Global Sourcing
Peter Higgins joined Metris at the time of the acquisition of LK where he had held the position of manufacturing director for 16 years. With a formal training in mechanical engineering; he has gained a vast experience in the management and development of all areas of high precision metrology manufacture. Particular expertise lies in the areas of “lean manufacturing” and global sourcing.

Alain Brackenier, Managing Director Europe
Alain Brackenier has an extensive career in sales and commercial management in testing and metrology industries.
He joined Metris at the time of the acquisition of Krypton where he was Vice President Sales & Marketing. Previously, he was Regional Manager at LMS where he served for over 10 years in a variety of technical, business development, sales and management positions. He holds degrees in engineering and finance.

Andy Cumming, Managing Director Metris UK/ROW
Andy Cumming’s early career was in the General Electric Company during which time a sponsored degree in mechanical engineering and comprehensive management training was undertaken. An extensive career in sales and commercial management has followed in high tech advanced manufacturing and metrology industries. Andy was a director of LK from 1999 to January 2006, initially as contracts director and from 2001 as sales and marketing director. He joined Metris in February 2005 and was the acquisition manager for the LK acquisition.

Myles Richard, Managing Director Metris USA
Myles Richard has served LK MSI, the LK sales and services company for the US, as chief executive officer since October 2001. His experience spans the diverse spectrum of CMM technologies. After joining LK in 1986 he worked inside the service and operations departments for more than 12 years. Prior to LK, his career included design engineering, logistics and customer service. His most significant LK accomplishments include establishing a successful customer service culture and pioneering retrofit solutions for customer’s technology, thus creating new market opportunities for LK products since 1991.
