Software Engineer ( C / C++ )

We are looking for a full-time Software Engineer ( C / C++ ) to support our development team at Metris Headquarters (Leuven), reporting to our team leader Software Development.


Responsabilities for the software developer include:
- Understand the working of Metris products and be part of the software programming of the Metris products.
- Be able to continue the roadmap of our software and to follow given deadlines and release dates
- Use analytical and problem solving skills to contribute to the development of the product.
- Work closely with other engineers in other departments, locally as well as internationally.


Qualifications for position of software developer:
- Bachelor / Master degree from computer science or equivalent
- Strong interest in metrology and optical measurement systems

- experience as software engineer / in software development in C, C++ is a plus but Metris encourages young graduates with excellent results to apply as well.
- Knowledge of Matlab and/or VHDL, COM and ATL is a plus
- Knowledge of computational geometry is a plus (OpenGL and 3D graphics programming experiences)

- Good verbal/written communications skills
- Team player
- Strong in quickly analyzing understanding existing code with limited external help
- Strong sense of application framework / architectural design
- Strong sense of well designed application user interfaces
