Process Engineer - Laser Scanners- Leuven – Belgium
We are looking for a full-time Process Engineer to support our production team at Metris Headquarters (Leuven), reporting to our Production Manager. He/She will become the expert in the Laser Scanner manufacturing process
Responsabilities for the Process Engineer include:
- continously improving the efficiency of the Laser Scanner manufacturing process, through streamlining existing methods and procedures, implementing new procedures, and proposing product changes which improve manufacturability
- general improvement ideas for the manufacturing team (reorganise flow of goods, production hall, etc..)
- liaise with Quality Manager: discuss quality complaints that are manufacturing related, and implement improvements to avoid quality complaints
- liaise with Production Engineer to help introducing new products in the most effcient and practical way
- assist production technicians in problem solving in case of technical issues
- training of production technicians in new procedures, watch over the proper execution of existing manufacturing procedures
Qualifications for position of Process Engineer:
- excellent technical skills (electronics and mechanics) : - electromechanical engineer (4yrs) or
Master in Engineering
- Dutch and English
- Excellent communication skills
- Team player
- Creative problem solver
- A first professional experience is desired
- Knowledge of general process control techniques is a plus
